Why do you use dual extraction with your medicinal mushrooms?Updated 6 months ago

We use an effective amount of the highest-quality adaptogen extracts rich in active compounds in every sachet! Our bodies can't break down the chitin cell walls of mushrooms as we do with plants - hence the extractions make the active compounds bioavailable so we can absorb their beneficial qualities 🌿🚀 

Our mushroom extracts are extracted using a dual-extraction method - which means using both hot water and alcohol extraction, this helps to make the active compounds bioavailable to ensure we get the many benefits of adaptogens. There's some evidence to suggest beta-glucans are best extracted using hot water only, however, there are many other important compounds in mushroom extracts, specifically cordycepin in cordyceps and hericenones and erinacines in lion's mane (which are known to cross the blood-brain barrier). A dual-extract will always be overall richer in active compounds. Dual-extracted mushroom extracts are also much more potent and more expensive than hot water extracts because of the extra process involved 🍄
